RenewdTV Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of RenewdTV, an iOS app built and operated by Christopher Roura (roura.io). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. What RenewdTV is

RenewdTV is a personal watch-tracking and recommendation app for movies and TV shows. You build watch lists, track what you're watching, and get personalized recommendations based on your activity. It is a personal tool — it does not stream, host, or distribute movies or TV shows.

2. Your account

To use account features, you must:

• Provide accurate information when you sign up (a real email address you control)
• Be at least 13 years old
• Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself — you are responsible for activity on your account

If you sign in with Apple or Google, your use of those services is also governed by their terms.

3. Acceptable use

Use the app for its intended purpose: tracking and discovering movies and TV shows for yourself. Don't:

• Try to break, probe, or overload the app or its backend services
• Access other users' accounts or data
• Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute content from the app, including metadata sourced from TMDB
• Use the app for anything illegal
• Reverse-engineer the app except where the law says we can't stop you

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules (see "Termination" below).

4. Your content

Your watch lists, watch statuses, and activity are yours. By using the app, you give us permission to store and process that data so the app can work — syncing it to your account, generating your recommendations, and (in aggregated form) improving our recommendation models. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Data source attribution

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Movie and TV metadata (titles, artwork, descriptions, episode information) is supplied by TMDB (The Movie Database) and remains subject to TMDB's terms.

Upcoming-episode air dates are provided by TVmaze (tvmaze.com) and remain subject to TVmaze's license terms.

6. Subscriptions

We plan to offer a premium subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. When it's available:

• Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled.
• You manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings, not in the app.
• Apple handles all billing and payment data.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

RenewdTV is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable and accurate, but we don't promise that:

• The app will always be available or error-free
• Recommendations will suit your taste
• Metadata from TMDB (titles, dates, episode info) is complete or correct

To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

Plain language: RenewdTV is a watch-tracking app, and our liability is limited accordingly. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — for example, lost data, lost profits, or substitute services — arising from your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using RenewdTV at any time, and you can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete Account), which permanently removes your account and synced data.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we will make reasonable efforts to give you notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [OWNER: choose state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
